140806 Eblast L3 Mowing

I want to thank the community for their patience and understanding with this new endeavor. As we expected there were some challenges that accompanied bringing the Level 3 maintenance program in house, what we didn’t expect was the belated seeding of the wildflowers which prevented an earlier start date. I also want thank everyone for all the compliments and criticisms we have received so far. They have all been very helpful in creating an efficient and quality driven process.

The progress map is an aerial image of the Sun City campus taken from Google Earth, and colored in to show the extent of the boundaries of the property. The black or shadowed area is what has been completed. The boundaries of the phases were determined by using the most prevalent land marks in the community: Del Webb Boulevard, Sun City Boulevard, and the Berry Creek water way. Here is a more detailed breakdown of the Phase to Neighborhood relationship:

Phase 1 Neighborhoods: 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 13 27 38   COMPLETED
Phase 2 Neighborhoods: 8 9 10 11 12 35 36 37

We had several homes in the community affected by the lightning this past weekend. Please check your controllers for time and date accuracy

I would recommend watering no more than one day a week only. Temperatures remain cooler at night and over watering can lead to fungus in the landscape. I am watering the boulevards twice a week, but only at 35% of early Summer run times. I would also recommend staying attentive to weather forecasts so that we can anticipate shutting the system off ahead of the next freeze or rain event that usually accompanies our weekly cold fronts this time of year.
